Things I Use: My Morning Routine

Posted on May 25, 2026June 6, 2026 by Bug

One of the most helpful habits I’ve built over the past few years is waking up early and keeping my mornings intentional.

Nothing complicated. Just a few things that help me start the day feeling clear and focused instead of rushed. The whole list below typically takes about an hour and a half total.

My typical routine includes:

  • Weigh in
  • Drink a cup of coffee
  • Practice Spanish using Babbel+
  • Connect with God using Bible Mode
  • Complete my Neuorcycle
  • Read the daily entry of On This Bright Day
  • Write 3 things I am grateful for
  • Log my food in MyFitnessPal
  • Work out using StreetParking

It doesn’t take long, but it creates a small pocket of calm self-investment before emails, meetings, and notifications start rolling in.

I’ve found that when my mornings start intentionally, the rest of the day tends to go much more smoothly.

You don’t need a complicated five-hour morning routine to benefit from this idea. You deserve to make time for yourself and even ten or fifteen minutes can make a difference. Start with one thing and add things that bring you value over time.

Sometimes the simplest habits are the most powerful.
